I often read posts on the site without signing in. I load up the forum and hit "Today's Posts".

For the last couple months, it does weird things when I do that. At first it came up with the "You must wait 10 seconds before searches, try again in 10 seconds" things that pops up. I could hit "Today's Post" again and it would send me on to the days posts.

Now It says "You must wait 10 seconds before searches, try again in 8 seconds" and when I hit it again it says "You must wait 10 seconds before searches, try again in 2 seconds". Hit it again it says try again in 8 seconds and hit it again and its try again in 2 seconds (and so on).

It does not matter how much, or little, time I wait between clicking on "today's posts", it will say try again in 8 seconds or 2 seconds, back and forth for as long as I click. All works fine with "New Posts" when I sign in.

I have cleared browser data, and tried it on different computers. Same thing.

Bread + Vanilla = Carp Attractor?

Before you laugh, carp are completely edible when prepared properly. Just de bone, mince the meat, combine it with corn flour and a binder like an egg and make hush puppies. That said, in a SHTF situation with a low food supply, I will be more concerned with calories and nutrition than taste.

I read an article archived online by the local newspaper about a father/son team that fish off the docks at a local lake. They claim that spearing a piece of an old roll or hoagie bun on a hook and then dousing it with imitation vanilla flavoring creates an irresistible bait for carp.

Has anyone else heard of this sort of bait? Do you think it would work with a plastic gummy worm? I would try it out but the water is too cold this time of year for the fish to hang out at the docks.

You and everyone else looting will be in competition. You can buy some now for like a buck a watt. 200 W is like having an Olympic athlete at your beckon call.

You might consider a Faraday cage for a few panels, and charge controllers.

I bought a NiteCore I4 with the optional cig lighter cord so I can charge my Eneloops and 18650 and "D" cells both in the car and off the solar charged battery bank. I have various car chargers for my laptop, camera, spot light and other stuff.

I need to upgrade my battery bank and add some more LED lighting.
