A helping hand

I haven't posted here much. Mostly, I read everyone's posts, admire their gardens, and dream. So, I decided I was tired of dreaming and wanted to make it a reality. My husband works, and I take care of the home. Jobs are pretty scarce in our area, especially jobs that won't leave our kids in someone else's care after work. This summer, I had the first-time experience of making and canning my own pickles, with cucumbers from my parents' and a friend's gardens. I loved it. We are saving up to buy a place (we have no credit for a bank loan, as we deal in paid-in-full stuff only), but that could take a very long time.
