I have some soap that is apparently Vietnam era military surplus. I have quite a bit and I was wondering if it would be good camp soap or even survival soap. After all, it has been around fifty years or so and is still intact and looks good. It says on the label it is good for fresh or salt water, which is good. I'm absolutely sure it has no dye or fragrance, which is good. What I'm wondering is if it is environmentally friendly. Maybe some of the Vietnam vets on here know a little bit about this soap. I have a whole bunch of unwrapped cakes of the stuff, so I am thinking I can cut them into smaller bars that don't take up much room in the bag.
This picture is the wrapped soap, of which I have several bars. As I mentioned I also have pounds of unwrapped.

Any info would be appreciated...
