BOB Advice

Greetings,

I would like to get some outside help on my BOB. I have had this set up for a few months and while I feel like everything in there is useful and has come in handy on bug out trips, the bag seems to be a little too full and heavy for my taste. Don’t get me wrong, I take it on daily walks and longer weekly hikes without an issue, I just feel like I could maybe get rid of a few things.

First, I want to explain the reasoning behind this bag. When bugging out, my plan is go from the Milwaukee area to Northern Wisconsin using my car as part of a convoy with friends and family. I will be carrying a lot more gear and luxury items in my car but in the event that I have to leave my car, I want to have a bag ready that I can easily carry on foot that will last me a few days to get me where I need to go, assuming my car will get me most of the way.

Here is a list of all the items in my bag, including items that I will be carrying on my person:

Bag Itself: Condor 3 Day Assault Pack. Many of the items in here are stored in modular pouches that could be attached to the outside of the bag to free up space inside.
