I have been watching the battle over the presidential election, like most people have, and I have seen alot of things that really bother me about what is going on, but moreso, what some folks are PLANNING for this nation's future.
I watched some of the videos of the reactions of people when the Electoral College annouced who their votes would be given to, and it was really disturbing witnessing their behaviour during, what in the past, was a very organized and serious moment in our nation's political process, but it now seems has become an "event" for people to "show their asses" because their candidate did not win. The main thing that bugged me was an interview with the director of MoveOn.org, Anna Galland. Here is her comments on what is happening:
The part that really bugs me is her comment:
"Today's protests are, I think a harbinger, of a mass peaceful movement that we are going to build.".
Now, what really bugs me about this is the evidence that this so called "progressive" movement has proven itself to be anything BUT "peaceful". It has been shown time and time again that these "peaceful protests" end in looting, property damage, fire, extreme violence, and, in the case of the "peaceful" protest in Charlotte this summer, death.
So, my question is this: Do any of you feel that groups such as MoveOn.org represent a "Fifth Column" in America today? If so, should these "groups" be investigated by the FBI as many other groups in our nation's history have been?
A buddy of mine put it like this:
"If the folks at MoveOn.org were just a church group in Texas, that happened to believe a little different, and owned some guns, they'd have been burned alive by now!!".
What does everyone else think?? Am I seeing this the "wrong way"? I'm only 45, and I know there are alot more experienced folks than me on here, so any guidance would be much appreciated.
Take care everyone,
DixieKen
