Police confiscate blankets from homeless

In Denver Colorado police wanting to move homeless people that were camping in the downtown area, confiscated blankets in subfreezing weather. I tried finding another post with this subject but failed to find any.

I don't know if this is a liberal or conservative idea but my thoughts are that we can do much much better with our homeless than take away their limited means of survival.

From what I read, the police first forced the homeless to move from another area so the group moved their blankets into the downtown area.

Anyone have better ideas about what to do with the homeless?
