I'm wondering what would be the best source of food to carry for my 72 hour bag. An additional note: I would be carrying for both myself and my 3 year old. MRE's are very easy, if expensive, and seem like the top pick. But is there something better out there? Or would a "snacking" approach (energy bars, trail mix etc) be better? All advice is welcome. This would only be for once we are on the move, as non-perishable food is not a problem at my residence.
Well, you can live on it... but it tastes like ****
