It actually worked out real well for me. The bluing that comes in the kit is a lighter blue I found. I went back and picked up a bottle of their Super Blue (stronger stuff) and it gave me that deep dark blackish blue that we're all familiar with. I did some research and watched a number of YouTube videos on it and found that you have to follow their directions EXACTLY. The other key is to have a super clean "shiney" surface or you'll be disappointed..
