why bother with pure iron sight ar15 builds??

You never have to turn irons on.
You never forget to turn irons off.
Your field of vision, is your actual field of vision.
No worrying about blurriness with astigmatism.
No switching powers to shift from point blank to 300 or even further.

Nothing against optics. I have a 1-4x on one, and a holo on another, but irons on several as I like how quick they are to acquire the target. I'm rarely trying to shoot strictly for points or whatever. I want quick, repeatable hits, COM on man sized targets at varying distances.

Irons are simple, durable, and effective. What's not to love?
