OK SAy you have recognized you need something

THAT THROWS arrows/bolts to go into your cache of equipment you will need for THAT TIME when the wheels fall of the trolley.

You have $1000 to dedicate to the project.

Crossbows and bows.

Any support/fellow campers will have almost ZERO experience with either.

Do you get 3 or 4 inexpensive (cheap) versions so there are several to pass around, (and of what...crossbow or bows) so everyone can practice and no worry about breaking supply,
or
do you spend upwards top of limit for one really good bow OR crossbow with all the bells and whistles and then a supply of arrows/bolts for that one weapon?

and WHY?
