The AFT along with the local police department, raided the apartment of a person I know last week. They confiscated an illegal machine gun and an AR without a serial number. He builds guns so there may have been other items confiscated. The vast majority of his firearms were legal. He thinks the feds were expected to find much more.
After posting 200K bond, I found out the he was probably set up which was initiated by a phone call based on information obtained on a AR firearm site. He thinks the feds are after someone else who he was in contact with and if he cooperates, he may escape serious jail time.
No doubt in my mind that the government peruses these sites.
