My stomach too sensitive for SHTF

A little here and there I tend to get bad stomach, let's say maybe once a month, that by itself is quite annoying (especially if by bad luck it co-incides with a weekend plan or whatever) but I was thinking if my stomach is annoying pre-SHTF, imagine how annoying it will be POST-SHTF!

What seems to trigger my bad stomach is:
*Raw foods including fruit (something as solid as an apple is ok, but wet stuff like pears or watermelons gives me the runs guaranteed)
*Grease food or greasy soup.
*Any attempt at homemade broth.
*Any dried fruits like dried cranberries.

So on the one hand I'm thinking maybe I should try to be more careful with what I eat, for example put my chicken broth immediately from pressure-cooking to water-then-fridge, and avoid raw fruits all together.

Or on the other hand maybe I should start blaming the stomach and not the food? Because as the world goes deeper into SHTF there will come a time when I can't be picky about food.

Or maybe it's just natural but people try not to talk about it. I remember one episode of Dual Survivor they had a can of dog food and insisted to the viewers that the safety standards for american dog food is actually so high that it's perfectly ok for human consumption. While they were eating it I was thinking "my guy tells me 100% I would get upset stomach if I ate that nasty stuff" and to my relief it wasn't jsut me as they then spent the rest of the episode with stomach pain and complaining about eachothers nasty farts.

But if I start blaming my stomach I'm not sure how to strengthen it. as far as I know I don't have IBS or anything like that.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
