Definitions: protester, trespasser, rioter, enemy combatant

Originally posted in the MO thread, but decided it may be better for this to have it's own discussion (since it could be appropriate whatever the trigger).

I'm interested to hear some other takes on things, purely from a definition standpoint. In my mind:

Protester - You are a protester as long as you are holding signs, chanting, praying, whatever floats your boat. Shout at the top of your lungs, go nuts. If the property owner tells you to leave - you better leave. If you don't, you've 'leveled up' and are now a trespasser.

Trespasser - as a property owner or someone having been granted the oversight of a property, you will be physically removed by them, someone hired by them, or the police department. You may or may not get one last chance to leave on your own accord. If you resist, cause harm to a person or damage property, you've 'leveled up' again and are now a rioter.

Rioter - you've demonstrated a blatant disregard for the sanctity of conventional society. You've hurt someone, stolen or damaged property that does not belong to you. Expect to be detained. Want to guess what happens if you produce anything to be used as a deadly weapon? <DING!> You 'level up' and are now considered an enemy combatant.

Enemy combatant - the definition is the same whether it's MO, or Kabul. You have demonstrated the desire to cause casualty to other human beings. You will be met with unequal and rapidly escalating force - the job is to make you cease your anti-social behavior. I don't care if it's a stick you picked up, a firearm you brought, or a molotov cocktail; you have solidly entered the fray, and must be dealt with accordingly. Within legal limits of your jurisdiction, of course.

Am interested to see what others see as the logical groupings and thresholds between categories. Please don't get hung up on my naming conventions (especially enemy combatant, I know it's been redefined several times depending on administration). Got a better suggestion for the category name - throw it out there!

Please keep things civil. I think maybe this may shed some light on some preparedness steps to undertake, and what discussions you should be prepared to have with family members, should you be exposed to civil unrest IRL.
