I have done some searching on this phrase and only found diy "nice and cutie" doors, nothing that is especially designed for stopping people, knives, bullets, fire, etc. Does anyone have any plans on how to do this? I was thinking perhaps a door made of layers (laminate) perhaps with a half sheet of playwood outside and in for the sake of appearance but maybe a 1" thick piece of steel between the two pieces. Yes, that sucker would be heavy - might need to make it a self opening door? ...and the frame would have to be equally massive...
Not sure if this is a good idea but wanted to throw it out to begin discussion. This would apply for all exterior doors. Windows would have steel shutters but built to look like wood, as well as a cage assembly outside the window.
