Questions about the Soul

1. Does the Soul, as in a non-material energy that contains You (your inner individuality) exists?

2. Does it survive you after physical death? Is it immortal?

3. Will it advance to another level spiritually, in the afterlife or stay the same?

I know these are strange questions on this religious section but feel free to answer and add your beliefs about the Soul from the perspective of your religion of individual beliefs or research. You can add questions as well.

From the Christian Orthodox point the short answers are:

1. Yes. It contains all that is You in an aware state.

2. Yes. It is made by the Power of God to be immortal.

3. Yes. We evolve forever towards a new spiritual state if the soul will be close (Good Place) to God after death. If the soul will be far (Bad Place) from God it will devolve on the other side, forever devolving.
