My current RDS is a Bushnell TRS-25, and while it has held up just fine for the short time I've had it I want something a little more robust for this particular rifle. The TRS might get switched over to the range toy AR or a 10/22 most likely.
I have had my eye on a Vortex Sparc AR for a while (always on sale at PSA), but have also seen some other RDS' for about the same price and wanted to reach out to those here who have any experience with them to share their opinions on its performance. Mainly, how it holds up to recoil and/or any bumps/drops that may have occurred.
The other RDS' that I have looked at include the Vortex Crossfire, Strikefire, and Sparc 2, as well as the very similar Sig Sauer Romeo 5, and the Holosun version.
I like the 2 MOA dot and being able to hold up to recoil is key..really the only factors im looking for. Oh and I like it to absolute co-witness with my BUIS.
Also light weight would be better as some RDS can be bulky and heavy. Dont care much about bulk but heavy is heavy.
If I missed any other reliable red dots in the same price range ~ $200 please do suggest.
I'm leaning towards the Sparc AR but will take all opinions will be considered.
Thank you all in advance.
