Police Have New Tool To Unlock Your Cellphones

Your phone is an internet node tied constantly to someone else's network. The manufacturer can send firmware, code and instructions to your phone at any time. The carrier can funnel every call, text, email or internet search through servers for analysis and allow the government access to that information in real time. Everything on your phone has always been accessible.

There's no rule you have to own a phone, or put personal information on one if you do have own one. People just do it because they can't be bothered with learning about an expensive piece of hardware because it's too difficult.

Besides, it's more fun to pretend someone in the government is tracking our boring, bodily functions.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
