"Mission Accomplished" Criticized

Some in America assert victory is something to criticize, condemn and complain about. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/14/u...ia-policy.html. It seems the term "Mission Accomplished" is only applicable when every problem in the world is solved. It certainly cannot be used in conjunction with setting a goal and achieving that goal only post Modernists might explain.

I believe this is another example of what I call the PERVERSION OF EQUALITY. Victory for us means somebody else lost. Amen. The basis no NOT use the term is to NOT offend people who either opposed the mission in the first place OR commit the fallacy of Strawman, of supposing mission creep undermines the validity of the term.

I am sickened by the emasculated sensibilities of our culture, growing ever more offended EVEN of victory. Trump said we'd win so much, we'd get tired of it. It seems some people rail agains even talking (and thinking in such terms). Yikes! The dumbing down of our society is on display for all to see. Mission accomplished.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
