judge says no to Seattle tax

I don't live in Seattle. But I think having a judge rule against them in a tax issue is good.

Seattle’s controversial tax on the wealthy failed its first legal test this week after a judge ruled the new ordinance violates state law – but the city isn’t backing down and vows to appeal, setting the stage for a Washington State Supreme Court showdown.

King County Superior Court Judge John Ruhl ruled in a Wednesday that Seattle did not have the authority to impose the tax because state law prohibits tax on net income.

Good deal for Seattle. You'd have many of them moving out of the city so it likely wouldn't have been much. But you have to like the libs. They want your money and come at you every way they can.

Luckily, this move was ruled wrong. Now they will go to the supreme court and spend yet more money they don't have. The citizens in Seattle need to stop them. But I guess they don't care. What's a little more debt?
