fix for hollow core door hole

Hide the hole with a protective cover.

Suggest adding a metal kick plate along the end of the door where the stopper meets door surface. Assuming that spot is at the top or bottom of the door. A door width strip of brass, steel, or aluminum trim.

Or, if the spot is in the middle of the door, just screw in a small square of thin-gauge steel plate over the damaged spot. Paint over it to blend in the appearance. Something about the size of an electric outlet cover.

Simpler than actually repairing the hole. Both hide the damage and protect from re-occurrence using the same device.
