I'm in CA. I have mace but I read that a Taser C2 is better as a primary self defense weapon. OC can be used as a backup.
The problem with Taser C2: the battery packs are not rechargeable and the two CR123 batteries go dead after a few months so you have to keep purchasing expensive battery packs or you can go through the hassle of rebuilding them your self.
