But this one is a perfect illustration of how a leftist reporter will allow their leftist ideology get in the way of accurate journalism:
Kurt Eichenwald is a reporter for Newsweek. Not an opinion writer, but a news reporter. Prior to that, he was an investigative reporter for the NY Times. As a reporter, he would be expected to report actual news, not speculate.
Yet here is he is, 'reporting' from a Trump rally tweeting what leftists will call solid news:
Timestamp 12/8/16, 8:29 p.m.
"Trump supporters booed John Glenn when Trump mentioned his name at today's rally. A real American hero who risked his life 4 us. They booed."
This tweet was retweeted 4,263 times, with 4,363 likes.
But, oops.
A followup tweet, timestamp 12/8/2016, 10:21 p.m.
"I believe I was in error that Trump supporters booed Glenn. This seems to be 2 events at same time: Ppl booing Trump as he mentions Glenn."
This tweet was only liked 725 times, with only 302 retweets.
So ignorant liberals/progressives/socialists will, much like ignorant Black Lives Matters supporters did with the hands up myth, will continue to believe this was real.
Eichenwald wanted to believe, with every fiber of his being, that Trump supporters were booing Glenn. His preconceived, ignorant view of Trump supporters supported his belief that this must be true.
This is typical of the leftist reporters who live in a bubble and who place ideology above ethics. And this is why normal Americans have quit paying attention to these Democratic Party apparatchiks.
