I use duke dog-proof coon traps. After a few raccoons got done trying to smash them apart against trees and rocks the paint's almost all chipped off. So I'm repainting them. I've already started on one with a nice nutmeg color that matches the tree it'll be attached to. But because raccoons are so unafraid of and even attracted to anything human looking as a food source, I'm kinda tempted to paint them florescent pink or hunter orange or something.
Is it worth it? Anyone tried going with high-visibility traps instead of camouflaged ones?
BTW it's well within private property. I just trap for predator control. So I'm not worried about anyone stealing it.
