Well, if you tell people to educate themselves, enlighten themselves, pay attention in class, or to google it for themselves, you're being insulting and probably racist and sexist.

My husband used to have all these little sayings he'd make up. At first, they sounded a little nonsensical until you thought about them for a minute. Then, they made perfect sense. One thing he used to say was 'You can't help the helpless'.

I came up with one myself a month or so back, sort of a mixed metaphor. 'You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him believe it's water'.

Ignorance seems to be the preferred state for radical leftists. And they're often too ignorant to know they are ignorant.
