New Guy, using RO for pool water filter

In one sense, I have been prepping since camping with my Dad in the 60's and 70's, and beyond that with friends. Back then we just called it camping, but I have been prepping in earnest for the last few years. I live in a city, with no natural resources nearby. The only source of water nearby is pools and lakes contaminated with algae. My last biggest concern, that I can actually do anything about is water, and making pool/spa water safe to drink. I just found this forum and I was impressed by the knowledge of a few people here. So I will be reading up an the water filter threads and then posting up some new ideas and seeking feedback from the guys that know more than I do.

Briefly, my plan to filter my spa water is checking and correcting ph, use gravity through an initial sediment filter, chemical disinfection, pre-soaking in granular activated charcoal, next stage is gravity ceramic filter or 1 micron home type spun polypropylene filter cartridge mounted in 5 gal bucket, or Sawyer .02 bucket filter or other type of hollow fiber filter, then electro absorptive type filters or resins. Finally, clean out a bicycle air pump and re-lube with plumbers grease to pump in air pressure into a PVC pipe filled with water which has an RO membrane attached on the other end, but with dirty water port blocked off. I have done each of the steps individually so the next step is trying them all at once. Final step is adding a mineral additive to the water. Now my question is, will pool/spa water be safe to drink, or what problems have I missed?
