Do paper coffee filters make creek water safe?

I use the throwing cold water on the grounds style of making coffee

afield or the eggshells if I have them.



BUT, do paper coffee filters strain bacteria from water? My face

masks go to , what, a few microns. Could one of those paper

filter masks used by construction workers make water safe to drink?
