Hi. I've seen YouTube sirvival videos regarding knife reviews and the overall consensus is the finger choil is a major advantage because the weilder can "choke up" on the blade for " fine work".
What fine work? No one ever shows this. They all claim it though.
If you claim the choil is an advantage on a seven inch blade and use it, thus making the hold as if the blade were now a six inch (for fine work), then should you have bought a six inch knife to begin with?
The late Bob Lovelace said if you got to have a choil then you done made the blade too long.
