So I picked up a pair of cheap Desert and ACU bdu pants at the Army Navy store yesterday, and decided to pull out my other camo clothing for a photo shoot. The objective, using my Florida environment, see which one blends the best.
Okay, mostly I wanted to see how that ACU stacked up against the rest. (PS We all know desert camo won't fair well in this test, but I had to try.)
So here are the items of clothing I used, in this group shot. The brown shirt is a Hanes cotton poly blend, nothing special about it.
====
Next up: Flecktarn out in the open, and Flecktarn partly covered. This is my fave, and the best IMO.
====
Here is the old standard Woodland. First pic is laid out willy-nilly, the other is with coverage and folded up neatly in a square.
.
====
Only one shot of Desert camo worth posting because it stuck out like a sore thumb in the rest. The photographer (me) did everything she could to conceal it better, and aside from burying it, I couldn't get it to blend better than this.
====
Next up! Plain old brown shirt. First photo folded up and out in the open. The other is under coverage.
=====
And finally the one I know you've all been waiting for the fan favorite, love-it, hate-it, burn-it, snuggle-with-it-at-night, the ACU! First shot, is a close up so you can see how it was concealed.
A few more feet away....
And farther...
Lighting, shadows, and the correct environment helped with the ACU a lot. I really had to work with it though. Unlike felcktarn and woodland camo, and even the brown shirt, I just kinda placed it once and took a few shots.
So what is your opinion?
