Greetings new friends:
First, let me say how excited I am to be a part of this forum. I look forward to learning from each of you and hopefully sharing some stories along the way.
Second, I would really appreciate getting some advice from people smarter than me on the topic of "preparedness items." This ebola scare has been the catalyst for me running to Costco four days in a row stocking up on water and canned goods. I have a wife, two year old son, and a puppy - admittedly, I should have already been prepared but sadly I have failed. Can someone please give me some tips on what I should doing to prepare for, God forbid, a martial law/quarantine like environment due to an ebola outbreak (similar to Sierre Leone)? Here's what I have done so far:
87 gallons of bottle water
approx. 30 pounds of non-perishable food
basic medical supplies, Clorox
BTW, I live 20 miles outside of DC for what its worth...
I appreciate any and all advice!
Cheers,
RD
