So I used a piece of scrap Chicken Grate, and an old Bed Frame. Overall size of mine is 5 1/2' x 1 1/2'. Some metal Bed Frames have fold up legs on the corners, to make it easier to transport, when you take the bed apart. I simply cut the frame up, where I would have one leg on the long side of each of the four corners.
I used the remaining pieces to form a rectangular frame for the chicken grate, put a cross member in the middle for some rigidity, and used scrap pieces to add "Pad's"onto the ends of the legs. These keep the frame from sinking into the ground.
Now I have a fire that ranges from warm water at one end and gradually increases to raging boiling water, at the other end! This also helps when cooking large "Group" meals, where different food's, require different temperatures, and cook times. With this setup, (And a Good Cook!), all the food arrives hot, at the same time!
