Gun safe digital or dial

I like a dial lock myself as they have stood the test of time. Being mechanical they require no power and are known for reliability.

The digital locks are in a manner of speaking relatively new and while they are user friendly they haven't been around as long as the dial lock.

I like the user friendly aspect of a digital lock yet the perpetual need for batteries (power) and possible effects of EMP are sticking points that have kept me from fully accepting/trusting a digital lock.

I know digital locks are the norm these days yet I'm not convinced they are better than the dial.
