Why I do not like glocks

Let the flame war begin. Regular forum rules do not apply to this thread. Feel free to speak your opinion.

The main reason why I do not like a glock is because it lacks basic safety features found on handguns for over 100 years. Not only firearms, but all other consumer products.

John Browning designed the 1911 with two safeties, and made it single action. It has a frame safety, grip safety, and the hammer has to be cocked to fire.

My sthil chainsaw has an on/off switch, throttle grip safety so the throttle can not be depressed unless you had is in proper position on the handle, and a kickback bar.

How many people would use a hand grinder with the guard removed? I posted a welding video on youtube and people were commenting about the guard of the grinder being off, but the glock does not have a safety?

A nailgun has a safety so that the nail is not shot until the gun is pressed against a board, but the glock does not have a safety?

Cars are engineered to be as safe as possible - fuel cut off, crumple zones, air bags, seat belts, anti-lock brakes, but glocks do not have a safety.

Would you buy a car that did not have seat belts in in? How about a chainsaw that did not have a kickback bar, grinder without a guard?

Training

A lot of people say it is all about training. How many people have been eating all their lives and how many people choke still choke on their food or drink from time to time?

If you are alive, chances are you eat. Ever choke on anything? Why? You eat everyday, you have been eating for years, why do you choke on food or water? Are you not trained in eating and drinking?

All it takes is a split second of not paying attention.

Answer will be to always pay attention. Tell that to people who get into car wrecks.

It is not always about you

Fanboys say accidents with glocks are about training. Next time you see a woman looking through her purse, ask yourself does she have a glock? How often does she train?

Safeties are there just to protect you from others.

Glock fans will say, you do not do this, or you do not do that. Does no good after the handgun has been discharged.

Other firearms

Those people who do not believe in handgun safeties, have you removed the safety from all your other firearms?
