Selecting wire for a home made clothes line

Hi, I'm trying to setup a clothes line between two fence posts that I have at my house.

We have an HOA that doesn't allow for this, so I have to be discrete. However at the same time I want it to look nice.

What I've done is bought some Stainless Steel Lag Screw Eyes which will support the wire between the fence posts.

However the wire that I bought is Blue Hawk, 9 Gauge, and I'm not able to easily straighten it out between the two screw eyes. The wire is all out of shape.

I'm wondering what others have used?

I've looked online and found these instructions:

Found these at a big box store, however I don't know if it will work.

I'm looking for wire that is galvanized and won't rust.
