Changed my edc sidearm - 1911 to Glock! - Say wha!!!

I have now officially changed my edc handgun from a 1911 to a Glock 19.

Lemme esplain'

By now, you all know Lilith, my Kimber 1911 Pro-Carry II that I have carried for years now...

As of today, I'm now carrying a Gen 4 Glock 19 with the "limited edition" grey frame...

Usual mods:

1. 3.5 Ghost trigger bar
2. Extended slide lock lever
3. Grip plug
4. Plain black metal slide plate cover (I just hate the plastic ones.)
5. Extended mag plates from Concealable Control - trying these out. love them so far.

I also diy'ed a trigger guard undercut, which makes a world of difference.

I busted out my VERY FIRST inside the waistband holster. A CompTac minotaur. Still works perfectly. I did adjust the ride a bit higher...I guess I have grown to carry a little higher then when I first started.

And my very first pocket mag carrier...still works perfectly.

My very first carry gun was a Glock 26. That quickly evolved to a Glock 19 that I carried for a few years. I have thousands of rounds on the platform, and I can break down a Glock to all pieces and reassemble in about 30 minutes.

L to R: Nephews Gen 3 FDE frame, my new Gen 4 Grey Frame, and my Sis's Gen 3 regular. All Glock 19's.

The reasons:

• I have been wanting more rounds in the mag for a while now. I always practice at putting 2 to 3 rounds in every target.
  
• My sister and nephew carry their Glock 19's, so now I have mag and parts compatibility. (Except for recoil spring assembly.)
  
• I keep a "First Aid Kit" of Glock parts and tools already.
  
• I'm extremely comfortable with the Glock platform and specifically the Glock 19.
  
• Kicker: I bought the Grey Frame locally off of Armslist. A guy was selling because he bought it on impulse and his wife was ****ed. They were going on vacation the next day and he had to sell it. I offered $450 cash and he excepted. He had owned it a week and never shot it! It still had all of the gold Glock goop inside. It was basically BRAND NEW!
  
• Finally: I LOVE the look of the grey frame. It's just enough contrast to spice things up a bit.

Now, I'm researching night sights. I think I'm gonna go with Ameriglo Pro-IDOT's here:

No, I'm not selling Lilith. I have always loved Glocks and 1911's, and it was just time for me to carry a G19 again. I will never sell my Kimber and who knows...maybe I'll change back to her in the future.

I ran 500 rounds through the G19. (400 fmj + 100 carry rounds) 100% reliable and I wouldn't expect any different.
