Drones

With a drone you have the ability to acquire real time intelligence, which road is open? Where is the enemy? Where are other likeminded? Where is a damn bulldozer? The only prohibitive factor might be cost, but you can purchase one second hand or build one from a kit or even build one from scratch. You can get certain parts like actuators from scrap copiers etc.

There are of course many other applications beyond using it as an observation tool.

It can be used to deliver and receive written messages or parcels.

You could use it as a gunship by attaching a rifle. It won’t be terribly effective at killing, but it would be extremely effectively as a shock weapon- it will scare the socks off of them! Hibo… inyoni indiza nesibhamu!

Here is a handgun attached to a homemade drone made by an 18yo engineering student.

Here is something a tiny bit more advanced.

Most of us with a bit of fiddling skills can make something in-between these two examples –theoretically speaking of course.

Using it up close works fine if they just have machetes, but they will be armed so it would be better to use at a distance – that’s why I say its use is as a shock weapon and not really for killing.

Now there is however a very deadly use. Instead of the actuator triggering a handgun or rifle, it could be used to drop some type of bomb, again, theoretically speaking. http://ift.tt/29iWe3g

You could go all out and attach a night vision camera which would mean they would not see it coming and they will not be able to shoot it down. You could attach a stronger camera to zoom in from a very high altitude in day light - many come with these strong cameras as standard.

Here is a link for drones. On the left of the page, move the payload setting to choose ones which can take more weight.

It goes without saying that it is illegal to go ahead and arm these things – that stuff is just for interest sake guys.

Using it for observation is by far its most useful purpose.

This site will give you all the info you need to know about the law covering ownership and operation of drones in SA. http://ift.tt/1VokFLn

Basically the licensing is very complicated and you will be on a waiting List.

On a totally separate subject, we live in such a strange country. Did you guys know that the Basotho actually skin cats and eat them? I would not advice this, dogs probably taste much better, but if you hungry and want to survive why not?

Let's block ads! (Why?)
