Know any good sources for Native farming techniques?
I'm trying to plan out my garden for next spring, and I would like to copy or adapt what the Native Americans did in my area (South Alabama). My reasoning is that those plants and techniques would not only be effective but low maintenance, since every time I try to plant a garden I wind up not having time for it. I've read about the "Three Sisters" and it's easy to find a general overview of their crops. I'm wanting more specific information such what varieties can I get that closely matches what they grew, when did they plant, what other plants respond well to those methods, how was the food processed and stored, etc. I've been looking for a while and can't find what I'm looking for.
