Gun Safety

Not going to name the range:

We were doing a 2 day 1,000 yard F class rifle match. This match is held on far right side of range. On the left they had pay by the hour recreational shooting.

Day one during a break I see a guy get rifle out of case, cozy up to bench, slam mag into AR-10 pointed to ceiling and pull charging handle and chamber it. I walk over to RSO and said, hey by the way...He sat behind guy for at least 10 min and corrected a bunch of stuff he was doing.

So I mentioned to a guy we were paired with in the match. He says, follow me. We walk over to the left side and he starts pointing at all this blood on the ground. Day before, guy pulled his AR out of truck by the muzzle laid it on the bench and discharged. Through his arm, through the bench into the ground. Still was a lot of stained blood on concrete. This place is min 45 min drive to any ER! Can think of 4 things at minimum he did wrong.

Needless to say everyone was watching the left side pretty carefully all weekend.
