This article makes an interesting point. That those who have not experienced any real social ill, fail to control the elements that cause violence to rise and become normalized, kind of like we're seeing now.
Is this just a fancy way to say - those that fail to learn their history are doomed to repeat it? It is kind of an interesting theory, as there seems to be a lot of people itching for a civil war, but - is the truth more than they just have no idea what they are really going to experience if that were to happen.
I can't speak for combat veterans, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I bet there aren't a lot of people who've been in war zones thinking we should have a civil war, it is the Non Player Characters who have no clue who are riling things up.
