5.56 a round to wound.....not exactly
As someone who is in the military, I would like to clear up one myth. The 5.56 round was not developed as a round to wound. In combat, roughly 50% of individuals shot continue to fight. The reason this round was adopted was because, it is the most likely round put multiple rounds on target without having to put over emphasis on muzzle control to put multiple rounds on target. Try to find another round that compares to ft lbs of energy on target that easily places more rounds on target accurately.
