Stainless Steel H2O storage?

Default

I have a stainless pitcher of water in the fridge. It gets kinda scummy around the edge after awhile without a wash.
Good call on the fridge space, however these are insulated containers that I use occasionally. They keep icewater icy for more than 24 hours. They seem like a great plan for a few days worth of water.
On 6/23/2016 (about 4 days ago) there was a problem with my municipal H2O supply. Somehow raw sewage got dumped into the drinking water. These containers have come in quite handy while the authorities have said to not use the water, not even a boil warning, DO NOT USE.
