Reported on Twitter today, Avant Garde Innovations, the startup founded by siblings Arun and Anoop George from Kerala, has come up with a low-cost wind turbine, they claim will generate enough electricity to power an entire house for a lifetime for $US750.
The size of a ceiling fan, this wind turbine, the manufactors say will can generate 5 kWh/kW per day.
The article also says the costs will go down with mass production. Thought other members who are looking for away to cut electricity costs or for that off grid cabin, might find interesting.
