So, You Want To Move To The Wilderness? Better Think Twice.

I got quite a laugh out of this story.

29 year old Russian immigrant, a student of film and television from New York City. Purchases land sight unseen in remote Alaska, and, thinking his year of vigorous prepping and studying was sufficient, packs up his entire life and moves there.

Within days, he wants out.

Rescued by the Troopers less than a week after arriving, moved back to NYC and no longer wants anything to do with the remote Alaskan wilderness. Luckily for him, he happened to catch the eye of a Fish and Game pilot in the area.

Says he: "I give up everything in New York. That's how much I was prepared for this trip, how much I wanted to live off the land, how much I wanted to build a cabin."

"I knew I had to get to civilization. I knew I cannot die no matter what. Because I have my family, I have my friends, and I'm 29 years old."

"I was trying not to go crazy, not to get overwhelmed," he said. "For this kind of thing, I was not prepared."

Good riddance.
