We've lost 2 hens this past week to a critter "fox, coon or dog".
I set up a trap this afternoon. I need to check it to make sure that the chickens didn't get in it after the bait. Ha! Ha!
If it is a fox/coon I plan on skinning it. I've skinned birds/rabbits on our homestead and figure it will be similar. But I do want to tan the hide. Any suggestions?
