Honestly, if they've made it to the house, opsec is already shot. Personally it boils down to what they have to offer vs. the drain they would be on resources.

Like you said, I wouldn't turn away a doctor (unless they seemed off or came with some sort of undesired baggage), but I also wouldn't turn away some one with say, engineering exp. I'm sure I could figure out what I'm doing eventually, but the experience would be a big help. Same with say a mechanic.

As for how to turn people away, personal experience says it'll have to be figured out on a person by person basis.
