Coffee

So I've been filling holes in the storage plan and have gotten to coffee. I do not want green coffee beans that have to be roasted and am thinking of going instant. Picked up some Nescafe Tasters Choice at Costco and it makes a fairly decent cup.

After perusing the Nescafe website, the site tells me it's freeze dried coffee. I've searched the net far and wide for different methods of long term instant coffee storage and am coming up empty.

I'm thinking of transferring it into a Ball jar, popping an oxygen absorber in there, sealing it up and calling it good with periodic checks (like try it after 6 months or a year).

Has anyone tried this method or maybe similar in a mylar bag? If so, how were you're results if you tested it after a period of time? Thanks for your input.
