I want to put together some real life examples of places where people lived in remote areas for several months/years. While these people would not have called these bug out locations, they ceetainly meet all requirements: heatable shelter, water, security, food storage.
First candidate is the Cave Springs Cowboy Camp. It was used as a line camp and winter shelter for cowboys working the desert range of eastern Utah for 60-70 yrs, and is now protected within Canyonlands NP.
Let's block ads! (Why?)
