Ruger New Model Blackhawk .30 Carbine. first look

I have wanted one of these for years but the timing never lined up until now.
They don't make the .30 Carbine version very often and I missed the last release. I found a pretty decent deal at GrabAGun and it arrived today.

Overall it seems very well made but I was disappointed at the fit of the grips. They appear to be warped at the top (I have covered the sharp edges with a ranger band until I can get a hold of Ruger Customer Service.)

Hopefully I will get it to the range tomorrow or Monday to see how it shoots.

Anyone else shooting one of these? Got any ammo recommendations or load data suggestions?
