Interesting points of view of both parties CBS news this AM

Watched an interesting CBS news segment as an interview of a few people of both parties. People on a street in a big city were shown on a small screen a bunch of protestors surrounding 2 police cars and then one car drove ahead running into several of the protestors. Three people of both parties including 2 Blacks, were asked about what they saw in the scene. Half said that the protestors were in the wrong by attacking the police and half said that NYPD was using excessive force by plowing into them.

Another scene was the one with a couple in a gated community, the husband with an AR-15 and the wife with a Walther 9mm. When people were asked by the reporter which scene showed fault, half said that the homeowners were rightfully protecting their home. But the other half including 2 Blacks said that the people with the "assault rifle " and "pistol" were definitely in the wrong.

This showed that people of different political parties visualize events in a totally opposite way and I'm sure that both parties thought they were right and the others wrong.

I'm an independent so I see wrong and right in both scenes. Regarding the rifle scene, I have been studying that on an online site--Modern Combat/Urban Survival/Self Defense/Combat Training, and that couple was right in their desire to protect their property but were wrong tactically and legally. I have known sheriff deputies and sheriffs who I greatly respect but knowing the power of unions, I can see how police in a big city could overdo things.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
