Kinda having a food emergency here, just pulled rice out of freezer and...

The plan was to wait until they were room temp, then start putting them in mylar bags with o2 absorbers. Done a ton of research over multiple years, a lot of trial and error, didn't think I would have an issue like this after reading up on it so much.

They have to be under x% moisture before I put them in the bags. I'm thinking I can spread them on cookie sheets with the lowest setting on the oven and the door cracked, just like how I dry out everything else I store.

Opened a bag. Inside feels dry, rice are still extremely cold. Don't know if every bag is dry inside, and that's just "dry" as far as what my hand can feel. Not an exact indicator of moisture content, so I'm not sure.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
