2016: Virulent H1N1pdm09 influenza strain (Swine Flu) may be rearing its head again

Swine flu in Syria and Egypt according to FluTrackers. I couldn't trace the reports to rock solid sources, but considering it's Syria and Egypt, accurate information is most likely suppressed.

Syria is worrying in that there's malnutrition, lack of basic healthcare services and too much danger for humanitarian health workers to go in. Perfect spot for influenza to mutate just as it did in the trenches of WWI in the 1918 pandemic.
